How to save money and increase quality of production
Filtration is one of the most important operations in an anodizing line and in a pretreatment line. It ensures a longer life to the chemical solutions since they are kept without deposits and without layers at different densities.
Quality of the finishing results higher with a proper filtration, without dusty deposits and local defects.
The filter pumps are used for filtration of galvanic baths and corrosive liquids up to a temperature of 60°C. The filtration of these solutions is carried out by means of a magnetic drag-out pump and a filtering chamber with discs entirely built of acid resistant plastic material. Pushing the solution to be treated through a series of filtering paper or meraklon discs it allows the working conditions of the liquid to remain constant.
The main characteristic of this filter pump is the transparency of the filtering chamber that allows a continuous visual control of the filtration.
Usually PP magnetic drag-out pumps with a capacity that varies from 2000 to 14000 liters per hour are assembled on PFD filter pumps.
The special system of the pump, without direct connections between pump unit and motor guarantees a perfect hydraulic sealing. The maintenance is simplified by the small number of basic components.
The base, built of plastic material, protects the pump and at the same time it is a support for the filtering chamber.
The standard models include flexible inlet and outlet pipes, switch and discharge valve. The advantage of the paper discs is that they have higher filtration efficiency compared to cartridge filters.
The disadvantage is that they have to be changed every time after the filtration cycle is finished indicated by the maximum pressure limit in the manometer.
