In an aluminium anodizing line, the automation takes care of the mation of the load between the different steps of the line as well as of the loading/unloading area. The whole system is supervised by a software that manages the synoptic, the setting of the production recipes, and controls the production.
Thanks to the automation, it is possible to set the data that characterizes each tank, the type of production required in that moment, the control of the production itself, the printing of reports and filing of data in Microsoft Access Fermat.
In addition to the handling system, the automation software package also takes care of:
• Anodizing line start-up and stop
• Shuttle trolleys
• Anodic bars tracking
• Heating equipment and related control
• Dosing systems
• Process control and management of the production
• Printers
• Loading/unloading stations with adjustable height

BRIDGE CRANES
WITH SUCTION HOOD
Bridge cranes are used for lifting and moving the anodic bars with the parts to be treated through Ali the working steps of the anodizing line, i.e. including treatment and rinse tanks, loading/unloading area, racks pickling area.
The structural frame and the equipment used for a bridge crane are specifically designed in order to comply with the critical conditions involved in any anodizing process.
Basically, each crane consists of:
• N.1 structural frame made of different steel profiles
• N.2 headpieces made of welded steel sheets; each one is fitted with two wheels made of thermally treated steel; twoof them are driving wheels, thanks to a motor-gearbox directly coupled to the wheel itself
• N.2 hoist, devices, consisting of rope-winding drum, two-speed gear motor with electromagnetic brake, high resistance steel rape, limit switch and fixed support base
• N.2 traverse motor-gearboxes with variable speed by means of dedicated frequency inverters; this system allows gradual starts and stops without juddering and wobbling of the parts
• N.2 Quides for lifting of the anodic bars hooks; these guides are made of steel sections which are rigidly fixed to the bridge crane structure; the lifting hooks are fixed to the hoist ropes and run along the inside of the guides on special car
riages
• N.1 provision for anodic bar tilting; the rack with the parts to be treated are hooked to the anodic bar, and this is automatically inclined in the desired direction with the aid of a limit switch; the degree of inclination can vary by means of the limit switches; these limit switches are located along the guides for lifting, and automatically adjust the movement of the anodic bar (stop, change from slow to fast and vice-versa)

WITH SUCTION HOOD
Bridge cranes can be provided with a suction hood on top of the crane itself. When the hoist is operating on process tanks, the hood is connected to the main exhaust system, thus contributing to reduce the emission of fumes to the working area.
In order to minimize the emission of fumes, the crane can further be provided of an integral enclosure, which conveys the fumes through the exhaust system by capturing them since very close to the tank.
